A first-look picture has been released for Cunk on Cinema, the latest addition to the critically acclaimed faux documentary series created by Charlie Brooker and Diane Morgan.

The three-part series will see the pioneering documentary-maker tackle her most glamorous subject yet as she examines the world's love affair with movies.

Cunk on Cinema will debut on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two, with the three-part series consisting of three 30-minute episodes.
The series will also be released on Netflix outside of the UK and Ireland.

The series will explore everything from the invention of the camera and the New Wave filmmakers of the 1960s through to the arrival of CGI and the future of artificial intelligence.
Cunk will attempt to demystify the history and technology behind cinema while pondering some rather more fundamental questions.
Where did cinema come from? And why? What does it want? And why can't it tell us?
The investigation will take place from the comfort of lumpy cinema seats and with stale popcorn as Cunk attempts to understand the medium that has captivated audiences around the world.
Who appears in Cunk on Cinema?
Cunk on Cinema features a starry line-up of contributors from across the film industry.
Among those appearing are director Michael Bay, known for Bad Boys, The Rock and Transformers, and award-winning actor Benedict Cumberbatch, whose credits include The Imitation Game and Sherlock.
Oscar-nominated composer Daniel Pemberton, screenwriter Steven E. de Souza, cinematographer Seamus McGarvey and film critic Mark Kermode are also among the contributors.
The series also features filmmaker and author Mark Cousins, Isabel Stevens of Sight and Sound magazine, Helen O'Hara of Empire Magazine, Screen International critic Catherine Bray and BFI silent film curator Bryony Dixon.
