NICK LEESON, who has just entered the Celebrity Big Brother house, was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison before taking part in the show.
The 51-year-old has been labelled the 'original rogue trader' as he enters the infamous house for the summer 2018 series.
Mr Leeson was forced into the spotlight over 20 years ago when he caused the collapse of Barings Bank.
During his early years at Barings he was making the company huge profits and earning bonuses of up to £150,000. In 1993 he made £10M for the company.
He spent nine months battling the authorities and was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison for forgery and fraud.
He said: "The media storm that ensued me going on the run from Singapore is something I suppose I'm still coming to terms with today."
"I like a challenge, I think it will be a challenge, the one thing I am already telling myself is that it is only for a few weeks rather than the four and a half years I spent prison."
"I live and let live, I don't think there's necessarily a stereotype that's going to rub me up the wrong way.
"I think everyone has a right to live their life the way that they do."
