A YOUNG entrepreneur has turned a love for social media into a five-figure business after launching his company from his bedroom.
Seventeen-year-old Felix Harmon from Kent runs aptly named social media marketing company ‘Social Thriver’.
The techy teen, still studying for his A-levels, buys and sells Instagram accounts with large followings, tapping into popular niche audiences.
“I would then grow these pages to 10K plus followers before monetising them with affiliate product links,” said Felix.
“I sell promotions to influencers as well as selling the Instagram pages when I want to move onto another niche.”
Felix shares his rags to riches lifestyle on Instagram, sharing a photo of a friend’s Lamborghini he snapped for his business.
He added: “Every month since, we have seen a substantial increase in new clients.

“I have focused on scaling this business as quickly as possible, giving me an insight into how to market many different industries.
“I have worked with bakeries, hair salons, the luxury car market as well as travel.”
Speaking of his ever-growing audience, he added: “The business has grown by word of mouth from my existing clients, email outreach as well as cold calling.
“After contacting an interested individual, we will arrange a follow up call to close the deal and arrange invoices.
“Within business it is very important to set out goals and aims.
“One of our aims for Social Thriver in 2021 was to become a five-figure business, which we did this afternoon – it felt amazing.
“I also made the decision to reinvest a large majority of profits back into the business.
“We spend this money primarily on marketing in order to grow the business further.”
