The Celebrity Traitors is back on the BBC for its new 2025 series that's gearing up to be bigger and better than ever.

Famous faces from all over the celebrity world, and even an Olympic gold medallist, make up this year's line-up.

Here Entertainment Online rounds up everything you need to know about The Celebrity Traitors hosted by Claudia Winkleman.

When does The Celebrity Traitors start on BBC One and iPlayer?

Fans won't have long to wait. The highly anticipated Celebrity Traitors launches on Wednesday October 8 2025 on BBC One and iPlayer, with an extended 70-minute opener to kick things off in dramatic fashion.

Episodes will air twice a week, every Wednesday and Thursday at 9pm, giving viewers a double dose of treachery. And according to host Claudia Winkleman, the celebrities are in for a brutal ride.

"We're incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes. I'd love to say we'll take it easy on them and they'll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks but that would be a lie," she said.

Who is in The Celebrity Traitors 2025?

BBC bosses have pulled together a jaw-dropping line-up for the show's first-ever celebrity edition.

Here's who'll be facing Claudia — and each other — in the castle:

Alan Carr – Comedian

Cat Burns – Singer/Songwriter

Celia Imrie – Actor

Charlotte Church – Singer/Activist

Clare Balding – Broadcaster and Author

David Olusoga – Historian and Filmmaker

Joe Marler – Former England Rugby Player and Podcaster

Joe Wilkinson – Comedian

Jonathan Ross – Presenter

Kate Garraway – Broadcaster

Lucy Beaumont – Comedian

Mark Bonnar – Actor

Nick Mohammed – Actor and Comedian

Niko Omilana – Content Creator

Paloma Faith – Singer/Songwriter and Actor

Ruth Codd – Actor

Stephen Fry – Actor, Writer, Presenter

Tameka Empson – Actor and Comedian

Tom Daley – Olympian, Author, Broadcaster and Entrepreneur

From comedians to campaigners and sporting legends, it's a line-up packed with personalities who'll no doubt bring chaos, charm and cunning.

What's the prize for The Celebrity Traitors?

Unlike the civilian version, the famous contestants won't be pocketing the prize money themselves.

Instead, the group will be scheming, betraying and bluffing their way through the castle to win up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

Expect alliances, shock betrayals and emotional reveals as the Faithfuls try to unmask the Traitors among them — before it's too late.

Is The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked back?

For superfans, there's even more to enjoy. Comedian Ed Gamble returns to host The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, the official companion podcast — and this time, he's heading inside the castle itself.

He'll be sitting down with the banished and "murdered" celebrity contestants to spill secrets, expose Traitors, and uncover every shocking twist as it happens.

You can catch The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked on BBC Sounds or watch it on BBC iPlayer from 8 October.
