BBC viewers fumed at Ross Carson for his failed attempt to win The Traitors in memory of his mother, and all-time Traitors icon, Diane.
Harry Clark and Andrew Jenkins recruited Ross in last week's episode and viewers watched on Wednesday as he attempted to get justice for his mum who was killed off in a camp black-tie funeral only days before, and viewers were really rooting for him.

But things didn't exactly go to plan and Ross was royally thrown under the bus by Andrew during tonight's roundtable. One thing Ross did successfully do was stir the pot between The Traitors during his extremely limited time wearing the all-black cloak.

Following the video director's banishment tonight, fans flocked to X, formally Twitter, to share their upset at his departure. One commented: "So they set up this whole Ross avenging Diane narrative for him to just leave after one episode?!"
Another wrote: "this is absolutely not the revenge that ar di deserved… livid." While a third commented: "One of these days, someone is going to avenge arr Di." Before the episode aired, another user penned on X: "We're all rooting for you Ross."

After being sent packing, Ross actually revealed he was Diane's son to his fellow players, a move viewers had already called. One said before the moment: "Ross needs to hit the round table, say he was recruited, denied it because the traitors killed his mum, and the last thing Diane said was she thinks it was Harry. Bafta tv right there."

"Imagine they accuse Ross at the round table and he says he couldn't be one of #thetraitors because the traitors murdered his mother," commented someone else. The episode ended with Harry and Andrew plotting their next murder, but who will it be?

The Traitors continues Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
