Screamfest is back, and this year's event at the National Forest Adventure Farm in Burton is its biggest and boldest yet.
With brand new scares, revamped fan favourites and a sinister horde of mutant plants on the loose, it's safe to say Halloween season has officially begun.
Here's what happened when Entertainment Online UK went to visit…
Screamfest 2025 in Burton review
We kicked off the night with Freakout Resurrected, a trippy UV explosion of clown chaos that set the tone for the evening.

The newly added glow-in-the-dark elements made for a visually stunning, and deeply unsettling, experience. Expect your senses to be overloaded in the best (and creepiest) way possible.
Next up was Insomnia, which has seen huge improvements since last year. The set design felt tighter, darker, and more immersive, with a few fresh scares that genuinely caught us off guard.
Screamfest promised a "new ending element" for this one, and it certainly delivered — we won't spoil it, but it left our hearts racing.

Hillbilly Joe's Zombie Zoo remains a fan favourite, and this year's tweaks to the set really helped amp up the chaos. Groaning zombies, eerie lighting and a few cheeky jump scares kept us on our toes throughout.
Mutation Damnation at Screamfest 2025
Then it was time for the brand-new maze everyone's talking about, Mutation Damnation. And yes, it's as wild as it sounds. We found ourselves dodging mutant plant creatures through a claustrophobic labyrinth of maize and mayhem.
The prosthetics and effects were top-notch, with the "plant men" providing one of the night's most memorable chases.

After grabbing a well-earned burger and Greek chicken gyro (the food selection was impressive), we hopped aboard AREA 52. The alien apocalypse ride has levelled up since last year, more aliens, more screams, and plenty of interactive fun with the paintball blasters.

We wrapped up the night in Hellcatraz, the perfect freaky finale. The updated scenes added a fresh dose of terror, leaving us shaken but grinning.
