SEVERAL KFC restaurants across the UK have been closed for business, leaving those with a craving for southern fried chicken extremely disappointed.
After thousands of social media messages aimed at the fast food giants, KFC have finally revealed the reason behind the random closures.
They blame a new delivery partner that has caused them "teething problems" and say that getting their promised fresh chicken out to 900 restaurants across the UK is "pretty complex".

They added: "We won't compromise on quality, so no deliveries has meant some of our restaurants are closed, others are operating a limited menu or shortened hours."
One man on social media suggested that the real reason the restaurants are closed is the "chickens are on strike" – KFC have confirmed this is not true.
The Plymouth Herald reports that staff at their KFC branch had to close up and turn hungry customers away leaving them devastated.

One man in Bristol said "It's basically the end of the world."
Another equally as scared man said: "KFC without chicken what next? Burger King out of burgers? The end is near."
The official response from KFC didn't stop people bashing the company on Twitter.

"We're really sorry for any inconvenience, and we're working to have all our restaurants back up and running as soon as we can!" Reports the Mirror Online.
