A SELL-OUT performance by American rapper Lil Pump was brought to a sudden halt after a suspected "gas attack" inside the Nottingham venue.
Around 2,000 people were evacuated from the county's famous Rock City. There was mass-panic as youngsters poured out of the venue "throwing up and fainting".
The US artist left the stage on Friday night (November 16) after he was half way into his set, security guards rushed to give the singer an oxygen tank.
Our reporter Harry Rutter was at the gig on the night of the suspected attack, he re-calls the moment "people were screaming and trying to get hold of 999".
He said: "The incident happened around half way into the rapper's performance. We suddenly felt an overwhelming sting in the back of the throat and eyes."
Hundreds of people packed out onto Tablot Street outside the venue, climbing on cars and shouting for Lil Pump to come outside.
He was clearly listening as moments later the US-star climbed onto the roof of his tour bus – still with his oxygen tank in hand – and finished off the show.
Police confirmed at least four people were being treated for minor injuries, but eye-witnesses told The Entertainment Gazette that there were "at least 20".
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "Officers were called at around 9.30pm to reports of a smoke flare being discharged inside the music venue.
"An investigation has been launched to establish exactly what has taken place inside the premises.

"We are treating this incident extremely seriously; however officers are not considering this to be a terror related."
Shortly after Lil Pump's acapella performance from his bus roof, he took to Instagram to vent and call-out the perpetrator.
Pump said: "Some dumbass threw a smoke bomb in the show, f*cked up the whole show, why the f*ck you do that? Make me faint in the middle of the show."

Tom Judson, 17, was at the show on Friday. He told the Nottingham Post he had to be carried out the venue by his friends as he had "excruciating pain in his eyes".
Police assured The Entertainment Gazette that investigations are "still on going" and that anyone with mobile phone footage should come forward.
