TESS DALY is set to swap her dancing shoes and enter the spotlight as she makes a special guest cameo in a children's TV comedy drama based around a fictional talent competition.
The CBBC show, Almost Never, sees a boy band pitted against an all-girl group. Tess plays the host of the talent competition alongside chart-topping singer Fleur East and The Inbetweeners' Emily Atack.
Emily, currently starring in ITV's I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here with Fleur, plays the mother of two boys who are part of the boy band competing for top prize in the competition.
Also in the star-studded cast is Michelle Gayle from EastEnders. She takes on the role of Coleen, a record company manager. Tillie Amartey from Ratburger plays a vlogger who befriends of the boybands.
An official release date of the comedy drama is yet to be confirmed by bosses at the BBC. They have only hinted that the show will air in the New Year on CBBC.
