DIY SOS is finally back on our screens – and viewers won't have to wait much longer.
Nick Knowles, 61, has fronted the beloved BBC One show since its launch in 1999. The hit home renovation series last aired in June 2022 with its 32nd series.
For a time, its future hung in the balance when the format was placed under the BBC's "competitive tender" process in 2023.

But Wales-based production company South Shore came out on top, securing the contract to make fresh episodes.
Now, the broadcaster has confirmed the new run is locked in, with brand-new instalments coming this autumn.
What's new for DIY SOS in 2025?
The format itself hasn't strayed far from its roots. It was revamped in 2010 as DIY SOS: The Big Build, bringing in local tradespeople and suppliers to transform homes for families with heartbreaking stories.

What did Nick Knowles say about the new series?
In March, Nick teased fans with a behind-the-scenes update on X (formerly Twitter).
He wrote: "Just to let you all know we are in the middle of filming a brand new series of @DIYSOS.

"We have already brought communities together to help families in need across the country.
"It's going to be a cracking new series. I'll let you know when it will be on your screens."
Why is Jules Perryman missing from DIY SOS?
But one familiar face has been missing from recent specials, sparking fan concern.
Builder Julian "Jules" Perryman, a long-standing member of Nick's team, was absent from Strictly and EastEnders charity editions of the show.
