ITV viewers were left stunned after Shrek fell off the stage live on-air during tonight's Saturday Night Takeaway.
Fans shared their shock all over social media when the character plummeted to the ground after tripping over.
The bright green cartoon-costumed person appeared to misjudge where the edge of the studio's set finished.
Footage shows the moment Shrek fell right in front of Ant and Dec before quickly recovering after the bad blunder.

"I swear I just saw Shrek take a drop off the back of the stage," Tweeted one viewer.
Another said: "Howling at Shrek taking a tumble. we had to rewind for a second take!"
"Shrek falling over on Saturday Night Takeaway!! I've got tears," penned a third person.
While another fan joked: "Has Shrek been on the happy juice this week?"
Cameras quickly cut to an ad break straight after the funny moment, so viewers were understandably concerned.
Host Stephen Mulhern was forced to make a statement when the show returned after the brief break.
"If you saw Shrek fall off the stage before the break, he's in A&E," he quipped.
Stephen added: "Just joking he is fine!"
