Tempting Fortune 2026 cast reveal as 12 strangers fight for £300,000 in Malaysia

Rob Beckett is back to guide a new group of Fortune Seekers through the Malaysian jungle in the latest series of Tempting Fortune.

Twelve strangers will embark on an arduous 13-day trek through the hostile tropics of Langkawi, Malaysia, with a share of a £300,000 prize pot at stake.

But surviving the challenge will not be the only test facing the contestants.

Stripped of home comforts and surviving on basic rations, they will be offered a series of tempting treats and experiences throughout the adventure.

Every temptation comes with a price, with each pound spent being taken directly from the shared prize fund.

When is Tempting Fortune 2026 on Channel 4?

Tempting Fortune returns to Channel 4 on Tuesday 22 September at 9.30pm.

The new series sees Rob Beckett follow and guide the Fortune Seekers as they attempt to make it through the Malaysian jungle while protecting the £300,000 prize pot.

How does Tempting Fortune work?

The contestants begin their trek with the chance to win a share of the £300,000 fund.

Along the way, they will face a range of temptations, from familiar favourites from home to unforgettable money-can't-buy experiences.

However, indulging comes at a cost and the money spent on each temptation is deducted from the shared prize fund.

This year's contestants are also split into two groups from the very beginning.

They must trust people they barely know not to spend the money, while new twists and difficult decisions put friendships, unwritten agreements and willpower under pressure.

The Fortune Seekers must decide whether to resist their desires for the benefit of the group or spend money to look after themselves.

Who is in the Tempting Fortune 2026 cast?

The 12 Fortune Seekers taking part in the new series are Charlotte, Cressida, Jack, Jennie, Kieran, Lucy, Nico, Sam, Sarah, Shaf, Tierney and Yvonne.

They come from a range of backgrounds, including medicine, teaching, marketing, diplomacy, construction, retail and the arts.

Charlotte, 33, London

Charlotte is a tourist attraction performer who is known to many as the princess of a famous family attraction in London.

She currently lives with her family and says she is ready to become more independent by taking on the challenge.

Charlotte admits she has had a comfortable upbringing but wants to prove she can cope with the arduous adventure.

However, parties, relaxation and experiences that create lasting memories could prove difficult temptations for her to resist.

Cressida, 56, Surrey

Lady Cressida is a PR director and the daughter of the late Earl of Dudley and actress Maureen Swanson, as well as the sister of the current Earl.

She says the menopause left her newly fearful of heat and heights, making the Malaysian jungle a chance to confront both.

Cressida has worked in PR and communications, including senior pharmaceutical roles, before working with children with SEND.

She is now training to become an addictions coach.

Despite being used to the princess treatment as the youngest of five daughters, Cressida became financially independent while raising her own daughter and son.

A good party, silent disco or ice cream could nevertheless tempt her to spend some of the prize fund.

Jack, 22, Nottingham

Jack is a medical student taking a year away from his university studies while exploring interests including modelling and travelling.

He believes the adventure will test his strength, stamina and decision-making.

After suffering with a heart condition three years ago, Jack says he has found a new lease of life and enjoys adrenaline-inducing opportunities.

He likes spending money on holistic luxuries and keeping himself well groomed, meaning a spa treatment in the jungle could prove particularly tempting.

Food and other experiences could also see him dip into the £300,000 fund.

Jennie, 47, The Peak District

Jennie is a marketing consultant and mother of two who enjoys drawing, painting and other creative activities.

She also enjoys a weekly family film night and believes she has strong long-term willpower.

However, Jennie admits she can struggle to turn down instant gratification.

A spicy margarita with no ice, no straw and the perfect dusting of spice and salt could prove particularly difficult to resist.

Kieran, 29, Lancashire

Kieran is a roofer who describes himself as someone who likes to live a champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget.

Proud of his humble beginnings, Kieran admits he can sometimes buy first and think later.

Having recently become a father, he hopes having a baby just a few weeks old might help him control his spending.

Family is his priority, meaning he would happily spend money on a call home to his fiancée.

However, freshening up or getting fast food could also tempt him to spend during the trek.

Lucy, 39, West Wales

Lucy is a support worker who recently moved into her first home with her wife.

With her daughter now 17, Lucy is ready to challenge herself in new ways and hopes completing the Malaysian trek will help rebuild her confidence.

An ex-rugby player, she has a competitive streak and is prepared to look for opportunities to get ahead.

Lucy is normally a cautious spender, but the prospect of going without a shower could make familiar comforts particularly tempting.

A sleeping mask and orthopaedic pillow could be enough to make her spend from the fund.

Nico, 38, Ipswich

Nico is an environmental officer who describes himself as a social chameleon and says he tends to put others before himself.

His family is his priority and he hopes to buy a home and start a family with his partner of five years.

Nico is not a big spender but admits he would give his last money to help someone else.

Sweet treats, a haircut or having his beard groomed could nevertheless tempt him during the challenge.

Sam, 47, London

Sam is a former diplomat who has travelled extensively during his international career.

He is now starting a new chapter and working his way through his bucket list.

Following a serious health scare, Sam says he has a different perspective on life, money and pleasures.

He enjoys the finer things in life but says he would never spend beyond his means.

However, a cheese board and a flight of wine, jet skiing or even a chip butty could tempt him to spend big.

Sarah, 56, Greater Manchester

Sarah is a dog groomer who spent the past five years caring for her mum.

Following her mum's passing, Sarah says she is ready for an adventure and wants to say yes to unconventional opportunities.

She grew up being taught to be careful with money and continues to enjoy finding a bargain.

Sarah also enjoys pampering herself and spending money on new clothes for her dogs.

A massage, passion fruit martini or air conditioning could therefore prove particularly difficult temptations.

Shaf, 28, West Yorkshire

Shaf is a train conductor who has always dreamed of becoming an actor.

He says his confidence has so far held him back from the spotlight, making the challenge an opportunity to push himself outside his comfort zone.

Extremely frugal with his money, Shaf managed to save enough to buy his first home in his twenties.

He hopes to protect as much of the prize fund as possible to decorate his home with new furniture.

Burgers, tea and fizzy drinks could nevertheless prove too tempting to resist.

Tierney, 25, Newcastle

Tierney is a retail assistant whose approach to life has been shaped by caring responsibilities within her family.

Confident, independent and resilient, she says she is highly attuned to other people's vibes and trusts her instincts.

Tierney hopes to help her mum and nan more by taking on the challenge, despite having a genuine fear of creepy crawlies.

She describes herself as an impulsive spender, meaning a cheese, bean and sausage melt, vanilla latte or chance to use her mobile phone could quickly eat into the prize fund.
