A BRITISH YouTuber targeted the mainstream media in a new video attempting to trick the tabloids into thinking he was part of the I'm A Celeb line-up.
Will Lenney, known online as WillNE, posed for fake paparazzi snaps and re-created the famous jungle press shots with some help from his friends.
Lenney set out to fool the papers, claiming that he was the final mystery face in the already confirmed ITV line-up by leaking the hoax images.
Along with his pals, the online star called up media outlets such as Metro and OK Magazine, who both took the bait and published articles online.
Will said: "I called in a favour from a couple of friends. They tried to make me pretty enough for TV. We kind of just knew this was going to work."
Lenney created a fake email address, pretending to be an ITV employee called Gareth Winslow, adding an ITV logo to the account to make it look authentic.
Will added: "I really wish we did this a week earlier, I genuinely think we could have got so much more than that. But i'm still happy.
"I reckon if we did it before they [ITV] announced the line-up we could have smashed it. It's been a task. But thank you to everyone who helped out."
I'm A Celebrity will air live on ITV from 9pm on Sunday, November 18.
