SOCIAL media network Instagram 'went down' today (May 10) leaving selfie-lovers without a platform to post their favourite shots.
The network crashed at around 2pm GMT, sparking over 15,000 tweets using the now trending 'hashtag' "#InstagramDown".
One user joked that after the world-wide outage hipsters were no longer able to eat; another added that "the world is ending".
