GEMMA COLLINS has broken her week-long social media silence with a family photo throwback amid her parents' Covid-19 battle.
The TOWIE star shared an old photo of her and her parents with her 2 million Instagram followers this evening (January 2).
The 39-year-old's post comes after her announcement that her father Alan had become very ill with coronavirus.
Gemma's mother, Joan, also has the bug which has locked down the country amid the widespread global pandemic.
"Your family are the best team you can have. Sending so much love, hope and faith to everyone right now," said Gemma.
"The doctors and nurses at QUEENS HOSPITAL have been FANTASTIC!
"They really are HEROS, DAD is in the best place right now THANK YOU @nhsengland and THANK YOU for all your well wishes.
"This is scary and real ! Do not underestimate this virus."
