LAURA WHITMORE has bagged her first ever radio show after working in television for the duration of her career.
The Irish TV star will host the new 'Sunday Session' show on BBC Radio 5 starting on Sunday (July 22) at 11am.
Laura, who began her career as researcher at a radio station in Ireland, has a degree in journalism.
During her time in TV she has worked for MTV and hosted ITV2's 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now!' for five years.
She said: "I'm delighted to be joining the BBC 5 Live family. It's going to be a lot of fun and full of debate and discussion over a wide range of topics. I can't wait to get stuck in!"
A spokesman for the BBC said: "In Laura Whitmore's Sunday Session she will cover the news, views, music and entertainment that has caught her eye that week.
"She will catch up with a range of guests – from musicians to journalists and from comedians to cultural and social influencers.
"Plus there will be a regular Sunday Roast slot where she gets to interview an iconic figure."
