SCARLETT MOFFATT'S mum reportedly stole £50,000 from the Gogglebox and I'm A Celeb star to fund a gambling addiction.
According to The Sun, Betty, aged 50, withdrew thousands of pounds from the TV millionaire's bank account to use online casinos.
The Gogglebox mum has worked for her daughter since 2016 following her win on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
The tabloid exclusively revealed that Betty had intended to pay Scarlett back after a big win that never materialised.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: "It has been a traumatic few months.
"Betty started out having the odd flutter here or there as a bit of fun to break up lockdown boredom.
"But before she knew it, and as these things so often do, matters spiraled out of control.
"She was losing thousands every week, and became desperate and panicky.
"In sheer desperation she took money from Scarlett's account but she obviously thought she would win it back."
Scarlett has reportedly forgiven her mother and has helped her check into rehab on her road to recovery.
There is no suggestion of any police involvement relating to Betty's use of Scarlett's money.
