MEETING your partner on Love Island "will not lead to a lasting relationship", a dating dilemma expert tells Entertainment Gazette.
Speaking of the hit-ITV2 dating show, a source tells us that despite some previous success, "showmances will not last".
Last season's winners Ekin-Su and Davide are still together and appear to be thriving, but our insider reckons the pair "got lucky".
"They never last, every couple that comes out, bar a few, it's a ticking timebomb until they separate. The grass certainly isn't greener.
"Love Island couples think they can make it work in the real world, but they've been living in a simulation. None of it is real."
Contestants inside the villa are looked after by staff and are filmed throughout the day, this expert claims the villa isn't "good life practise".
"Think about it, there with each other in this reality TV heightened environment, everything is new, they're basically on holiday.
"We all know what happens to holiday romances too. If Love Islanders make it in the real world, pair play, but I don't believe it'll last."
Despite our contact's strong thoughts, previous Love Island couples such as Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury only prove it is doable.
Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm.
