TELLY star Alison Hammond detailed the moment she was 'nearly strangled' while onboard a flight in a terrifying ordeal.
The This Morning presenter, 47, says she was involved in the near-death experience while onboard an airplane.
Appearing on Michael McIntyre's Big Show, Alison revealed how a trip to the bathroom almost ended up in catastrophe.
Michael showed a picture on Alison wearing a bright green scarf, an item of clothing she hadn't seen since the incident.
"I was facing the toilet, leaning over to flush," she explained. "I didn't realise my scarf was dangling into the toilet."
She described the moment the plane's toilet dragged the scarf – around her neck – into pan when its suction activated.
"It nearly took my head off, it nearly strangled me," she revealed. "It took the scarf away, I was so upset."
Comedian Michael clearly saw the funny side, continuing to make light of the situation which could have ended very badly.
"I've looked for the scarf, I can't find it anywhere. I'm devastated," Alison added.
