YOUNG Coronation Street star Jude Riordan had to be lifted up at the National Television Awards last night after he was too small to reach the microphone.
Comedian and awards night host Joel Dommett ran to the newbie soap star's rescue and hoisted him into the air in front of millions of live TV viewers.
Jude, who is just 10-years-old, won the Best Newcomer Award at the 2021 National Television Awards, becoming the youngest NTAs winner ever.
"Congratulations to new kid on the block, Jude Riordan on scooping the NTA for Newcomer," said a spokesperson for the ITV awards night.
One fan said: "Congratulations Jude, you are an amazing young actor. Also well done to Joel for lifting Jude up when he couldn't reach the microphone."
Another said: "Congratulations Jude you deserved this award you are an amazing little actor and an absolute pleasure to watch.
"Keep up the good work little man you are a star and a brilliant little actor and will go on to bigger things this made my night you winning this award well done."
