GOGGLEBOX favourite Stephen Webb has admitted that he initially "said no" to appearing on the hit-telly programme.
First appearing alongside ex-partner Chris, Stephen explained that he previously "didn't want to be known" for being on TV.
The hairstylist first appeared on the Channel 4 show 10 years ago and still stars on the sofa alongside husband Daniel Lustig.
Speaking to OK! about his time on Gogglebox, Stephen revealed: "I said no originally."
He said: "I didn't want to be known for some awful reality show. But they won me around when they said they would pay us."
Recalling first joining the programme, Stephen explained: "We weren't really told what it was going to be, so I never really understood it.
"Then, when the show went out, my friends and family were all texting and it just seemed everyone was laughing.
"As soon as I watched it, I got it. I didn't know it was going to last for 10 years, but I knew it was good. It felt good and I looked good – I was a bit slimmer then!"
Speaking of now being recognised, he added: "We are stopped a lot.
"People recognise our house, so we come out the front door and they look up from their phones and go, 'Oh, it is this one'."
Daniel said: "People always have the same three questions – do you meet any of the others? How long do you do it for? Is there free food?"
