Fans took to Twitter to voice their opinions on the 'civilian' series of the show.
One said: "Full of Z listers. Was good when it was the good old general public instead of wannabes."
Another added: "Completely agree, sick of all the fake people they seem to put in that have huge social media followings or have been on TV already or have agents."
However not everyone dislikes the show, some super-fans jumped onto their computers to get their applications in on time.
One said to Rylan, Big Brother's Bit On The Side host, on Twitter: "am I too old? Elaine from Grangemouth? 71 years,I love the audience too."
Another added: "CANT WAIT FOR SUMMER #BBBOTS"
"Just finished mine off!!!"
Big Brother officials have tweeted: "Online Applications are now closed. Big Brother will get back to you."
