MATT LUCAS has aired his thoughts on rapper DaBaby's views about HIV and the LGBTQ+ community which he brazenly expressed during a live gig.
DaBaby, who features on LGBTQ+ ally Dua Lip's popular track Levitating, launched a random homophobic verbal attack at a festival this month.
"If you didn't show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that'll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up," he said.
He added: "Fellas, if you ain't sucking d**k in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up!"
The remarks have landed him in deep trouble financially, with brands including BooHooMan deciding to cut ties with the rapper and halting any collaborations.
TV funny man Matt Lucas, who is openly gay, has had his say on the ordeal.
There were boys like DaBaby at my school always making jokes about gays and AIDS and obviously I didn't keep in contact with them but years later I'd bump into them in Heaven and suddenly it made sense.
