THE BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw has attracted 6.16 million listeners, which is its biggest weekly reach in two years.
Grimshaw's show has increased from 5.29 million last quarter and 5.82m last year, according to the latest RAJAR data.
Radio 2's Chris Evans' breakfast show still continues to attract huge audiences with 9.43 million listening each week (from 9.35m last quarter and 9.21m last year), the highest reach since 2016.

"Chris Evans has shown once again that his Radio 2 show is the defining breakfast programme of his generation whilst over on Radio 1 Nick Grimshaw and his team have delivered the highest number of listeners in the slot for two years.
"Whether it's music and top guests with Nick or Chris, agenda-setting news and analysis on the Today programme or lively discussion on 5 live, millions of people choose to start their day with BBC Radio."
All BBC Radio's weekly reach over the period (Q4 18 September 2017 – 17 December 2017) was 35.02 million (34.85m last quarter and 35.2m last year) and a share of 52.8% (52.1% last quarter and 53.5% last year).
Amongst digital-only stations, BBC Radio 1Xtra had a reach of 1.06 million weekly listeners across the period (from 1.08m last quarter and 909,000 last year which rises to 1.15m for those aged 10+).
BBC Radio 6 Music drew 2.34 million listeners (from 2.43m last quarter and 2.33m last year), BBC Radio 4 Extra attracted 2.26 million listeners per week (from 2.15m last quarter and 2.18m last year), and BBC Radio 5 live sports extra posted 1.06 million listeners (from 1.64m last quarter and 1.17m last year).
