EXPENSIVE performance BMW and Audi cars have been stopped by police officers today after driving over 95mph on the A41 near Hemel Hempstead.
A BMW M4 CS worth almost £90,000 new was spotted by police officers in Hertfordshire driving 107mph on the main stretch of road.
Officers plan to crack down on speeding drivers across the UK and stage regular speed prevention activities to help slow motorists down.
The Hertfordshire cops clocked various drivers today (December 31) speeding – with the main suspects driving luxury vehicles.
A blue Audi S3 saloon car worth more than £40,000 was clocked by the spying cops driving 96mph during the operation on the A41.
A golden BMW M4 was spotted on the same stretch of road by the eagle-eyed officers, the driver was also caught driving 96mph.
A spokesman for the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: "We're trying our best to keep the A41 safe.
"We cannot be everywhere but we might be anywhere. The courts are going to be kept busy as a result of today's exploits. Slow down, people."
Drivers exceeding the speed limit can expect a minimum penalty of three points on their licence and a £100 fine. Repeat offenders can also be disqualified.
